Events Past and Future:

Over the last three years IAOD has been involved in the following activities and projects:

Local public speaking in mosques, churches, high schools and colleges.

Arabic translation of Michigan Gift of Life Donor Registry Forms, Arabic translation of key education brochures, including frequently asked questions about donation.

Distribution of Arabic and English educational material in local mosques, churches and business locations.

Creation of a telephone hotline to answer questions about donation, as well as a website. www.isod.org is considered as one of the top websites on the Internet to disseminate information about organ donation.

Setting public education booths at large local events, including Dearborn’s three-day Homecoming celebration and the annual Arab Festival.

Staging local public donation awareness events, including IOAD’s annual “save-A-Life Walk-a-thon” and the annual “Live.. Then Give” banquet. Media events including discussing donation on two television shows and two radio shows.
