Salva una Vida is the
project reaching the Hispanic community of Southwest
Detroit. This campaign empowers community residents
to go out and do the presentations to members of
their community. Program goals include collecting
survey data to determine if current education
methods are effective in informing the public of
various causes of organ failure and increasing donor
registration.
Funding: The organization received $45,000
from the Community Foundation of Southwest Detroit.
IAOD also received and additional $1,500 from the
Michigan State Medical Society Foundation to cover
bilingual children’s health books.
