Gifts
of Cash: To make a cash gift, send a check payable to
International
Association for Organ Donation
P.O.
Box 545
Dearborn,
Mi 48121-0545
A
receipt of your donation will be mailed to you.
If you itemize
your income tax deductions, a cash gift may decrease your federal and
state income tax payments.
Gifts
of Stock: Gifts of appreciated stock can benefit The IAOD while
providing substantial tax benefits to you as the donor. If you contribute
appreciated stock, you pay no capital gains tax upon the transfer of the
stock, but you receive a charitable income tax deduction for the full fair
value of the stock on the date of the gift.
Wills
and Bequests: By including The IAOD as a beneficiary in your will,
you can provide support for the continued operation of The IAOD while
reducing estate taxes. If desired, funds may be designated for a specific
purpose or program.
Gifts
of Real Estate: By making a gift of real estate, you may be able
to reduce sizable capital gains tax while taking advantage of a charitable
deduction for the full market value of the property.
Charitable
Annuity: When you create a charitable annuity you may be eligible
for a significant income tax deduction. By funding an annuity with a gift
of appreciated stock, you may be able to take advantage of a reduced tax
on capital gain.
Charitable
Trusts: For large estates, charitable trusts are useful vehicles
for reducing estate taxes while providing income payments to designated
beneficiaries. Gifts may be designated for specific programs.
